GO BLUE!!!!

To celebrate the big game this weekend, Mr. Haney & Mr. Siravo brought in team cookie cakes.  (Yes as much as they hated buying one, the Ohio State fans had a cookie too! :)) However, since Mrs. Haney and I are Michigan fans we wanted to show we have a few students cheering for the right team! Let's GO BLUE!!

Science is so much fun!

Matthew is learning about our body.

Connor P. is engaged in dancing and following the steps while Justin waits patiently!

Connor V. is working on our body.

Wes starts dancing! :)

Kedrick is learning about fats.

Connor P. is finding out about nutrition.

Fun at COSI on Wheels

COSI on Wheels came to our school today! It was interesting to learn about our bodies and nutrition.  Jagger and Alex were picked to be part of the introduction! :)

Synonyms are words that mean the same

To begin our unit on synonyms we played a mitten matching game today.  Each child was given a mitten with a word on it and they had to find the partner who had a matching synonym for their word.

"Sweet" Abbreviations

Today we ended our unit on abbreviations. To do this each child was given a piece of candy with a word on it.  They had to correctly write the abbreviation and then were rewarded with a candy treat! :)

M & M Math

Today my math students had fun practicing their graphing skills using M & M's.

Nature's Nursery Collection

On Monday Laura from Nature's Nursery made a special stop to pick up our October Donations.  Maddi D. and Connor P. were picked to help pack up the donations. Thank you to everyone who made donations this month!

Strengthening Our Hands for Writing

We have been working very hard this year on handwriting.  Once a month we have been creating a seasonal project to help strengthen our hands.  The students have been ripping tiny pieces of construction paper to make colorful turkey feathers.
