Horray for a Snow Day!

I spent my day off catching up on laundry and housework but I also had time to play with my "kids" in the snow too!

Zoe is not very happy with mom right now! :)
Zoe is not a big fan of the snow! She would rather be curled up inside!

Gracie loves the snow! She has a ball doing laps around the yard. It actually looks like she is swimming through the snow!

Come and get me!

There she goes doing laps around the yard!

Contractions! Contractions!

This week, we began learning about contractions. The students were each given a card with to words on it and had to sort it into the correct category, then write the contraction on the board. They did a great job! We we also be making contraction snowmen to fit in with the wonderful weather we are having outside!:)

January's Snazzy Snack

On Tuesday we made our Snazzy Snack for the month of January. The snack fit in perfect with all the snow we just got. It was called a Bagel Snowman (my favorite Snazzy Snack). The students are really improving their handwriting on their monthly recipes.

Oreo Cookies and the Moon

Last week we finished our unit on the moon. To end our unit we made the phases of the moon using mini Oreo cookies. The students had a ball making the phases of the moon and eating the left over Oreos too!

Too Cold to Go Outside!!!

Despite the cold weather we can still manage to have fun at recess inside!
