As we continued learning about prefixes this week, the students each received a half of a broken heart. Not only did they have to match their broken heart half with the correct prefix and baseword, they also had to make sure the heart halves matched. Afterward, with their partner the pairs wrote a sentence using the prefix and illustrated it.
