This week, we began learning about contractions. The students were each given a card with to words on it and had to sort it into the correct category, then write the contraction on the board. They did a great job! We we also be making contraction snowmen to fit in with the wonderful weather we are having outside!:)
On Tuesday we made our Snazzy Snack for the month of January. The snack fit in perfect with all the snow we just got. It was called a Bagel Snowman (my favorite Snazzy Snack). The students are really improving their handwriting on their monthly recipes.
Last week we finished our unit on the moon. To end our unit we made the phases of the moon using mini Oreo cookies. The students had a ball making the phases of the moon and eating the left over Oreos too!
